Tidy opening spells from Umar and Giordy brought on plough debutant Elena Narozanski as first change with some tantalising Leg spin which was rightly rewarded with her first two plough wickets, pegging the opposition back and really controlling the run rate. It should have been 3 but for a shoddy piece of fielding from Boughton in the deep, I blame the long grass….

London fields began to build some strong partnerships in the middle overs, despite some challenging conditions (shots middled along the ground barely warranted a single in the long grass), but when London fields looked like pushing on the important breakthroughs came from Javid and Withers with some tidy bowling and great wicket keeping throughout from Suri

Their opener, who top scored on 80 was finally dismissed by Leo Connolly, one of his two wickets. A final flurry from Jon Ryves who took a nifty 1-5 off his two overs, ended the London fields innings in 131, plough requiring 132 from 35 overs to win.

London fields began strongly dismissing 3 plough bats for single figures and reducing the plough to 14-3. luckily for Plough, in steps Leo ‘get him in your fantasy’ Connolly and plough don’t look back.

Batting through the overs at a steady pace Leo and George brought up the total of 132 with 15 overs to spare.
