An outstanding start from Suri Poleboina kicked the game off and taking us to 70-2 after the first 10 overs, with cricket balls flying everywhere like the bees around our ciders.
A slight middle order stumble (despite the fine efforts from Will Curtis and Max Wright took us to 135-7, caused an element of apprehension on the first day of a hot plough summer.
All doubts were cast aside, after a miraculous and wondrous 81 not out partnership from Harry Davies and Mo Khan, surely took us out of sight from a sweating Larkhall Wanderers CC.
And that was to be the case, after yet another partnership of years gone by from Liam Gray and Oli Lonsdale to pump through the first five of the Larkhall batting line up.
The clean sweep made certain after the players of the day - Harry Davies, Mo Khan - bowled us to victory, keenly aided by the superb marksmanship of Carl Viberg (making a name for himself as a truly devastating all round cricketer)
