o (That’s cricket for ya)
• Good bowling and catching from Vibes, 2 catches on the day both pushed up into the air and taken on the second attempt.
• Brilliant catch taken by Rivers, taken low with the ball travelling.
• Sandeep with one of the best overs I have seen this season; turn, bounce, flight and then a lightning-fast arm ball that flattened middle stump without disturbing off or leg. All ends up!
• Quality leg spin bowling from both endz as Dooz and Sandeep turned and bounced the ball ripping around.
• Ean Smith after a fine bowling spell two weeks before, followed up with two excellent wickets in a really tight bowling spell at the death. First two of many, Plough On, Ean ??
• Innings finished in rain despite Joan Rivers bowling heating up the place with some absolute firebolts!
• Excellently skippered by Maxi, who wasn’t as quick as I have seen him in the wet outfield!
• Tea was enjoyed outside a packed pavilion as the rain poured down.
• Aj was keen to go back out.
• Another fixture tried to go back out in the pouring rain to play, stums in and practicing their runups, which was hilarious.
• After feeling the wrath of John, they trapsed back in, soaked right through much to everyone’s enjoyment!
• Yanni and Elmo joined as we enjoyed some gentle afternoon socialising with our rivals and friends at Southbank to the backdrop of the pitter patter of the rain.
• All very plough…
• On we march!
