- Plough skipper AJ lost the toss and the oppo stuck us in to bowl in the searing mid may heat.
- Speaking of searing, Archie fiddes took the new ball steaming in, in tandem with the ever dangerous, metronomic Harvey Stevens.
- Archie had one of Winchmore's opener's plumb lbw early doors, while Harvey kept it tight at the other end on a rather batting friendly deck.
- After some early chances didn't go to hand for the plough, Winchmore's remaining opener and number three began to take advantage of a solid batting deck.
- 1st change Dan Rumford removed Winchmore's opening bat for a scratchy 25, before the home sides middle top-middle order put the on a impressive display of hitting, with two hundreds for the home side.
- Mo Khan, Dave Yates, Si Carson, AJ and Harvey Stevens tried admirably to contain the batting side but with some excellent ball striking and the odd piece of luck Winchmore ended their innings on 350.
- A delicious tea later and Plough were out to chase down a mammoth target. It didn't get off to a great start, as opener Andrew was unfortunate to chip an early ball back to Winchmore's opening seam bowler.
- However, Sean Mc'Gun' and Dan 'Runs'ford settled the ship and then some with a superb display of placement, power and perseverance. The later achieving his highest score for for the Plough (57) before falling.
- Sean continued to make batting look far too easy as the middle order came and went all too quickly, despite some promising starts, the batting side began to falter under increasing scoreboard pressure.
- McGurn, eventually fell for a sublime 142 trying to power the Plough home to victory and despite some valiant lower order restiance from Mo Khan and H. Stevens, 350 proved a few too many on the day.
- Despite the loss, heads rarely dropped and usual the Plough were by far the loudest side on the park. More games will be won than lost with this attitude! Plough On
