11 beautiful and handsome ploughman’s arrived in time at somewhere near putney with a beautiful view of river Thames nearby.
Today was very special because of our beautiful skipper MICHAEL AINSLIE who was on his debut captaincy.
Skipper Michael A won the toss and chose to bowl first. Bisi and vicky open the bowling. It’s tight enough and oppo seem to play a patient game, wicket taker bisi got his first wicket and beautifully bowled as always and build a pressure on oppo while vicky seems aggressively attacking but was unlucky what a lovely bowling from him. After 10 over they were at 44 with one wicket down and gordy and ihtesham came in gordy bowled very well and got couple of wicket, on the other end sham took his first ploughmans maiden 5ter. Carl took couple of wickets with crane on the other end with lovely inswings , George and selmi took couple of beautiful catches.
Battersea Badgers all out for 88.
So ploughmans needed 88 to win in 40 overs with the average of almost 2.
George Boughton and Scantlebury opened the batting, started very beautifully with nice shots and couple of drives and unluckily george got LBW. Selmi joined with Scantlebury and hit a lot of boundaries even my counting messed up , later on Hanzi joined and hit couple of lovely boundaries too and finally skipper joined with selmi and added some important runs and led the team to a solid win.
A wonderful and very convincing win from Ploughmans CC against battersea badgers.
