Ploughmans innings

Batting first, the Plough posted a strong total of 210 incredibly recovering from 90-8 . In the process recording a season high 9th Wicket partnership by Aman and Bisi of 74 runs combined with some masterful strokers by Amn and power hitting by Bisi who was wearing no box or helmet !!!

Ovens, Prithu, Callum and Ajay all got starts but couldn’t kick on and their fast bowler who was net bowler for Steve Smith cleaned up the middle order.

Key contributions:

•⁠ ⁠Aman Jain played a counter-attacking knock of 53 off 38 balls, smashing 7 fours and 2 sixes.
•⁠ ⁠Anusha Rajasooriya anchored the innings with a composed 35 off 37*, ensuring stability and guiding the chase.

The lower order offered little resistance, with four batters dismissed for ducks. The standout bowling performance came from Unsure, who claimed multiple wickets, including the top order.

Otters Innings

Chasing 210, Otters The innings was headlined by a brilliant 84 from the opener, who was eventually caught by Steve Britto off the bowling of Nicko Dowell. This knock laid a solid foundation for the team. The second batter contributed a handy 22 runs before falling to a sharp caught-and-bowled effort by Anusha Rajasooriya.

A moment of miscommunication led to a run out by Callum Daley, dismissing the third batter for a duck. But even with the breakthroughs and very good bowling by Aman and Nicko we couldn’t pick up enough wickets to get into their tail and the Otters took few risks as they reached the target with 3 overs to spare.
